A five-day course in VMS Maintenance can be performed either on-site at Sperry Marine’s worldwide headquarters in Charlottesville, VA, or aboard the customer’s vessel.
This class is designed to achieve the level of technician competency required for the conduct of preventive/corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of the Integrated Bridge System (IBS) to the equipment’s Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU).
This class includes an overview of the major IBS components (Amplifier and Junction Box, IBS cabinet, Radar equipment cabinet, Conn Units and Unit Interconnections), as well as the VMS components of IBS (alarms and warnings, buttons, features, menus, charts and portfolios, common operational errors, electrical, network, and sensor distribution, peripheral and interface specifications).
