In keeping with Sperry Marine's commitment to full product support, the company has an embedded training program that provides instruction on the operation and maintenance of the IBS and its components. In 2000, Sperry Marine established a fully accredited ECDIS training simulator and classroom facility at its Charlottesville, VIrginia USA location. In addition to this site, there is a fully accredited simulator and training room at our facility in New Malden, UK. We also have a Simulator Room and classroom in Hamburg, Germany available for classes. Training can also be provided at customer locations, fleet side and underway. All training can be tailored to the customer needs and requirements.
Gyro and Inertial Navigation Systems Support Center
The Gyro and Inertial Navigation Systems Support Center has been built to provide cost effective through life support to worldwide Naval Gyro and INS customers. It represents a significant investment by Sperry Marine to reduce customer logistics costs, spares turnaround times and maintains full availability of systems throughout the fleet.
New Navigation Training Center Opens
Northrop Grumman Corporation has announced that its Sperry Marine business unit has opened a new ship navigation training center in Charlottesville, Va.
